The Nigerian Senate President Bukola Saraki visited Rivers State yesterday the 7th of July, 2018 to commission some projects. He was invited by the Rivers State Government and made a brief stop at the Rivers State Government House where he met with the Rivers State Governor Barr. Nyesom Wike before proceeding to commission the projects.
He commissioned the 12.2km Alternative Dual Carriage Way (Airport - Obiri Ikwerre Road) from the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, that leads to the Port Harcourt Metropolis and East West Road. He also commissioned the second train of Indorama Eleme Fertilizer Plant project in Eleme Local Government Area.

Saraki at the commissioning of the Indorama project said: "I congratulate the community, Chiefs and the Governor hosting Indorama because it shows there is peace here. And without peace there will be no investment of 3.2 billion dollars in Rivers State on urea production. He also said that he was happy to be part of the historic event, and disclosed that the Senate will give Indorama all necessary support in their business."
